Rindegastos is a digital platform designed to manage and automate corporate expense reporting. It allows companies to digitize their reporting processes, eliminate paperwork, and optimize workflows. Key features include integration with ERP systems, expense policy control, tax management, automatic validations, and detailed reports. It offers a comprehensive solution that adapts to companies of all sizes, enhancing efficiency and facilitating financial control.
The Challenge
They were facing several challenges related to their AWS infrastructure. They were using a single account model—the same one they had used for the past eight years—which made scalability and efficient resource management difficult. This centralized model did not follow AWS best practices and exposed several of their service servers as public, representing a significant security risk. Additionally, they needed a more robust and scalable architecture to continue supporting their more than 200,000 users.
The Solution
To address these challenges, CloudHesive implemented the following key solutions:
→ Well-Architected Review (WAR)
We began with a comprehensive review of the existing architecture using AWS’s Well-Architected Tool. This helped identify critical improvement areas based on the six AWS pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability.
→ Multi-Account Model
We migrated from the single-account model to a multi-account model using AWS Control Tower, which allowed for standardized account deployment and improved security and management. We also created a specific account for security management, implementing services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Amazon Inspector.
→ Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
We used AWS CloudFormation to deploy infrastructure as code, facilitating automation and consistency in resource management. We also implemented AWS Transit Gateway to improve connectivity between the different VPCs across accounts.
The Results
The implemented solutions led to better governance and infrastructure security, increased service reliability and availability, and improved operational flexibility and agility. This resulted in greater credibility and trust from both internal teams and clients, allowing Rindegastos to scale efficiently and remain at the forefront of technology.
