The Client: Chilean Customs (Aduanas de Chile)
The National Customs Service of Chile is a governmental entity responsible for regulating and facilitating the country’s foreign trade. The organization needed to improve its technological infrastructure to ensure operational continuity and enhance user experience.
The Challenge:
Chilean Customs was facing a critical situation with its technological platform, which was affected by technical issues threatening its operations. It was essential to migrate the infrastructure to the cloud to improve service quality and reduce incidents. The main challenge was executing this migration flawlessly within a limited timeframe.
The Solution:
CloudHesive, together with AWS, implemented a comprehensive migration strategy. While the original plan was to carry out the migration in phases, due to the complexity of the platform, the decision was made to complete the migration in a single day. By leveraging key AWS services such as AWS Application Migration Services and AWS Database Migration Services, CloudHesive was able to replicate and migrate servers and databases quickly and efficiently. They also utilized the AWS Local Zone in Santiago to reduce latency and increase bandwidth.
The Results:
The migration was a success, enabling Chilean Customs to enhance its technological infrastructure, reduce incidents, and ensure operational continuity. The CloudHesive team proved to be a reliable partner, providing close support and ensuring a solid and secure transition to the cloud.
