The Customer
An autonomous state-owned enterprise, ASMAR specializes in the construction, repair, maintenance, and modernization of vessels for the naval fleet, as well as for the national and international commercial maritime market.
The Challenge
To design and implement AWS solutions that meet the client’s business requirements, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures aligned with AWS best practices.
The Solution
The solution involved enabling and optimizing key visibility, security, and control capabilities within the client’s AWS environment. This was achieved through the implementation of FinOps dashboards for high-consumption services, strengthening S3 security, improving account monitoring and alerting, and conducting architecture reviews for WAF and ECS. Additionally, a technical validation for the activation of AWS Security Hub was performed, ensuring the resulting architecture is scalable, secure, cost-effective, and fully aligned with both AWS best practices and business needs.
The Results
The project delivered increased visibility and control over cost consumption through FinOps dashboards, a strengthened security posture—particularly regarding S3—and the implementation of a more effective and proactive monitoring and alerting system. Furthermore, it provided validation for architectural and security enhancements and established a solid technical foundation for the adoption of AWS Security Hub, allowing the client to operate their platform more securely, efficiently, and in line with AWS best practices.
