BY:

The customer

Caracol Television is the first national television network in Colombia.  The company’s business model is basically to produce content and bring it to different audiences through different channels.  With globalization, Caracol began to offer content on the internet, at a global level.

The Challenge

Canal Caracol requires the definition of a comprehensive secure storage solution for its collection of media files currently on tape, with an emphasis on confidentiality and data accessibility.

The solution

Using services such as Datasync and Cloudwatch, it was possible to develop a scalable solution in order to make secure transfers to the AWS cloud, using the S3 storage service.

The results

As a result of the project, the files were migrated satisfactorily in terms of transfer speed, performance and ease of use of the Datasync tool.  In terms of costs, the results were satisfactory, which will mean savings for the client.
